The world of CARMEN is set in a society where social control is very strong, and physical contact between individuals is prohibited. The only escape from this authoritarian society: an immersive universe accessible through virtual reality glasses, in which one creates an avatar. Unlike the "real" world, here no rules prevail, and everyone has great freedom to participate, choose their gender, appearance, etc., and give free rein to their desires.
